I’m a Certified Divorce Coach (CDC®) and a high-conflict and medium-conflict divorce and conflict coach — and unlike most coaches, who work with one person at a time, I work with the whole couple and family system. It’s not the divorce that harms children; it’s the conflict. I coach across the full arc of divorce: the decision (“should I stay or should I go?” — including gray divorce at or after 50), the divorce itself, and co-parenting afterward. As a former attorney (J.D.), I help clients lower the temperature, communicate without escalating, and make clear-eyed choices instead of reactive ones. I work with clients nationwide, virtually.

I’m a lawyer by training and a former law firm COO. My own divorce with four children informed my desire to support individuals and couples as they navigate divorce. I’m the author of two books — Should I Stay or Should I Go? and Putting Kids First in Divorce — an instructor in the CDC® High Conflict Divorce Coaching certification program, and host of Between Sessions, a national peer community for professionals in the divorce space, founded by Karen Bonnell.
June C. I am very grateful for Cherie. My ex and I were together for 14 years and have three amazing children. Cherie has helped us break poor communication habits. She has coached us on how to be effective co-parents. She always has our children’s best interest in mind and keeps us focused on logic and resolving core issues. She is very fair, and I like that she holds us both accountable. She is smart, tactful, and witty. She is also very beautiful so don’t be intimidated by her beauty! She is very accessible and fair on her billing. She also has helped proof read my resume. She has been there from the beginning to end of our divorce process and will continue to be a coach for us. And I say us because my ex and I really like and respect her. And my ex is very hard to please. He also is the type that doesn’t believe in therapy and coaching… maybe he is a believer now? Well at least in coaching…
Michael S. I have spent over $130,000 over the last few years fighting for custody of my seven year old daughter. Outside of Cherie, I have had a horrible experience with every legal expert or attorney that I have dealt with along the way. Cherie is unbelievable smart and tactically in her advising. She is fair in her billing and incredibly punctual / vested in her clients. I would recommend her to anyone going through a divorce. Hire Cherie before hiring any attorney or other legal expert.
