The first half of my life brought a multitude of challenges – abuse, divorce, loss, and periods of tremendous despair. It has taken well over twenty years to heal from what I’ve already experienced – but I didn’t realize that I was merely “in training” for what would come next.
In December 2021, I was diagnosed with Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS), a rare neurological disorder that left me in the hospital for a month and paralyzed. My prognosis was that I would be unable to walk for at least a year and that my recovery would be a very long and slow one.
I came home from the hospital in a wheelchair and unable to do anything without help. Through the love and support of my husband and family and my determination to reclaim my life, at 50 years old I had to relearn how to walk, write, feed myself, dress myself and more. It took me only 56 days to take my first few steps and I continue to blow through all of the milestones set out before me.
In all that I have been through life has taught me that no matter what happens to you, you have a choice – stay bitter or get better.
After finding the determination and fight to take my life back, something in my heart caught fire. My purpose became BIGGER. Stronger. Bolder. I am on an unstoppable mission to help even more women write their comeback stories.
Today, I help women completely transform their personal, professional, and financial lives. I have helped hundreds of women navigate their toughest seasons; divorce, sickness, trauma, career changes and more. As a Coach and Consultant, I’ve committed myself to bringing transformational change to how women rebuild their lives after devastation and coach each of them to become the shero in their stories.
