I decided to specialize in divorce coaching because it is a process that challenges and changes almost everyone that goes through it in some way. It’s not just an ending, but a new beginning. It’s an opportunity for grand transformation.
The difficult times of challenge, change, transition, and transformation are where I feel called to help people through coaching.
It doesn’t have to be due to divorce, but that seems to be a big catalyst for such things.
Other circumstances such as job loss, a big move, loss of a loved one, or personal “dark night of the soul” are all moments in life that are so challenging that we are called to change in order to meet the demands of the transition. Yes, there is pain and discomfort. But there is also grace, and hope, and growth. Sometimes everything has to fall apart in order to build something new.
It’s hard to imagine anything more gratifying than to walk alongside someone as they are going through that difficult time and be there for them as a confidant, a cheerleader, and a mirror that shows them how strong and powerful they are as the rubble settles, and the dust clears. To help them decide who they want to be on the other side of such a grand transformation.
