Confidential discussions

Creating awareness to help decide if Divorce is right for you and if so what process (there are several options e.g. court, collaborative, mediation etc)

Share information that will help you understand the twists and turns of the road and where the risks of getting derailed are

Refer resources and help close knowledge gaps that may be needed to reach the best decisions within the separation or divorce process

Help you find the right attorney and other professionals you will need (I have developed an extensive network of professionals with whom I work)

Establishing realistic expectations for the respective roles of both client and attorney in the legal process – and being able to express their own needs and expectations in advance to make sure the relationship with the attorney will be a good fit for their needs.

Helping with organization for meetings with their attorney by clarifying questions and information needed to explore what they need to create the new identity they will carry forward into the next chapter;

Clarify what is most important in the negotiation process and optimize ability to communicate clearly and effectively

Responding faster to the requests from their attorney in the time sensitive and often pressured time frames for reaching negotiated solutions or getting the work of the court done.

Expand client’s view about possible options, allowing them to make different choices which may get different results.

Make a road map for life after divorce

You save money when working with a divorce coach because they are dealing with the emotional fallout with a coach at a much lower hourly rate than with their lawyer, who really wants to focus on the legal aspect of divorce, and isn’t trained to deal with the emotional issues.  A divorce coach can get a client through this difficult time with the least amount of damage possible.
